Start Line and Registration - Muriwai

Schedule

  • 6:00AM Setup registration and parking signs

  • 6:15 AM Registration opens

  • 7:15 AM Race Briefing

  • 7:30 AM Race start time, on beach

  • 7:45 AM Packup and load trailer. Ensure all cars have departed


Roles

  • Stage Manager - Organizer of this stage

  • Registration - Confirm entrants on registrations list, take late registrations, issue race number bibs

  • Marshals - Marshal competitors, support crews, and spectators to ensure safety of all people. Ensure that cars are safely parked in correct areas


Details

All volunteers to wear official shirt and/or safety vest. Please return to Stage Manager for use next year

All volunteers to attend the Health & Safety briefing prior to event, and receive a copy of the Health & Safety Document including the reporting forms

Please send lost property to the finish line at Wenderholm


Registrations

Night before: Get printout of competitors. This is generated by the online entry system, get the link from Timing Coordinator. Printout some late entry forms

Setup tent and table

Setup board(s) with competitors names, so they can find their own numbers

Take registrations - locate name/number of registration printouts, cross off list, double check bib number matches number on printout

Take late entries - get competitor to fill out entry form and check details have all been filled out, and formed signed (for insurance purposes). Collect correct fee, no IOU's. Issue bib form spare numbers

Send any changes or late entries to Timing Coordinator

Pack up tent and table

Email these details to the Timing Coordinator

  1. Clear photo of any late entry forms

  2. Race numbers of scratches or no-shows

  3. Any changes to competitor data; changed race number if bib missing etc.

  4. Exact time race started; from Race Director


Marshals

At beach end of Rimmers Road setup signs to indicate allowed parking areas, and ensure people and cars mix safely

At race start, ensure spectators do not impede competitors

Ensure competitors take correct route from beach, to sand dunes, to forest road

After all cars have departed, collect and count off all signs

Marshals from the paid external group would move on to Cycle transitions just after race start


Stage Manager

Organize collection (on Saturday) and return of all equipment via Race Director. Requires station wagon or small trailer

Organize printouts and entry forms

Make sure everything happens on the day

Communicate with Race Director as required

Organize someone to wash and return shirts and safety vests
