Volunteer Roles

Each scouting family is required to provide at least one adult to work in these volunteer roles on the big day

Main roles

• Start Line & Check In - Muriwai

• Cycle Transition - Rimmers Road

• Mountain Bike Transition - Makarau

• Kayak Transition - Puhoi

• Finish Line - Wenderholm

• Drink Stations - Forest

• Lead Car

• Tail Car

• Mountain bike Route Marshals

• Safety Boats

Things you should plan on bringing that will make your day more enjoyable

• Portable chair

• Reading material (there may be down time)

• Water bottle and snack food

• Sunscreen, bug spray

• Sun hat

• Clothing - layers and a raincoat! Never judge the weather by how the day starts as weather can and does change quickly

Any friends or family members who would like to join us would be most welcome, as this saves us money employing people where we are short volunteers. All volunteers and their families are encouraged to come through to Wenderholm to join the festivities after their transition closes, enjoy a picnic, watch the athletes finishing and to assist with the end activities
